2012 RNR Farms Show Series

These shows are intended for riders who are new to showing. They are a fun and inexpensive way to compete and learn the basics about horse shows.

This year at RNR Farms, we will be hosting three horse shows. At the end of the year we will give out High Point awards which honor the riders in each division with the highest total of points throughout the season. They will be spread throughout the year and riders can accrue points at each show. As always, we will award ribbons at each show for individual classes and divisions, prizes for the winners and a free raffle during lunch!

In addition to the divisions offered last year, we will also be offering a dressage division which will feature two intro level tests as well as a dressage equitation class. The short stirrup division will be combined with the long stirrup division unless there are enough riders to split them into age groups (10 yrs and under for Short Stirrup, 11 years and over for Long Stirrup).

Show schedule:

March 17- Spring Show (rain date is April 7)

June 9- Summer Show (rain date is June 23)

September 29- Fall Show (rain date is October 13)

November 10- Year End Party and High Point Awards

**These horse shows will also be open to the public on a first come, first serve basis due to limited stabling.

There are no office fees. Stabling for outside riders is available for $20 per stall (includes shavings).

Divisions offered:

1. “Green-as-grass Division” (walking only). 3 classes included- walk equitation, walk hunter over ground poles, walk handy hunter. $50.
2. “Mini Stirrup Division” (walk/trot only). 4 classes included- walk/trot equitation, w/t hunter over ground poles I and II, w/t handy hunter. $50.
3. “Short/Long Stirrup Division” (walk/trot and jumping 18”). 4 Classes included- walk/trot equitation, Short/long stirrup hunter I and II, short/long stirrup handy hunter. $50.
4. “Beginner Division” (walk/trot/canter and jumping 2’-2’3”). 4 Classes included- walk/trot/canter equitation, beginner hunter I and II, beginner handy hunter. $50.
5. Dressage Division- 3 classes included- Intro A, Intro B, and dressage equitation class. $50.
6. Lead Line Class. Open to any kid aged 6 and under. Kids will be lead around the arena on their horses. All participants will receive a blue ribbon. No cost.
